This will be held in the TDC offices at Weeley. It starts at 10am on 15th November and is expected to run for three weeks. It DOES NOT SIT ON MONDAYS. The inspector is Ms F Mahoney DipTP MRTPI IHBC. The two modified applications for West Field and the Parkland have been added to six previously on the list. Members of the public can attend. The notice issued by TDC says that:
“at the Inspector’s discretion, you may be able to give your views. If you wish to speak at the Public Inquiry, you must be there when it opens.”
But the arrangements for this are unknown.
Fifty seven documents have been submitted to the inspectorate, mostly letters from individuals all of which are in opposition. They can be viewed on the TDC planning website – click on ‘Appeals’ and search for ‘Priory’ and then click on ‘Documents’. These are in addition to all those submitted earlier in the year concerning the original appeals. Individually and collectively they make a strong case for refusing the appeals. It is clear that most people are heartily sick and tired of repeatedly opposing the costly proposals which would only partly repair the Priory whilst harming the heritage asset and seriously affecting the village.
The appellants state that the first inquiry cost them £1.3million which has been added to the conservation deficit. This new inquiry will undoubtedly add substantially to that.
We intend to publish a summary of each days proceedings on this website.
